Best time for river rafting. Post-monsoon Ganga flow is perfect (Grade 3–4 rapids). Clear skies. Ganga Aarti is most spiritual in cool evenings. Ideal overall.
Spring — excellent rafting conditions. Warm and pleasant. Great for yoga retreats and spiritual tourism. International Yoga Festival is held in March in Rishikesh.
Monsoon — Ganga water levels are dangerously high. Rafting is closed in July–August. Haridwar Ganga Aarti continues. Visit only for spiritual purposes, not adventure activities.
