Chardham Yatra is typically a 10- to 14-day tour, making it difficult to obtain leaves for such a long period of time. The popular Do Dham Yatra options include the Yamunotri–Gangotri Yatra and the Badrinath–Kedarnath Yatra, accommodating pilgrims with limited vacation time.

All four Dhams experience heavy winter snow, causing temple closures with deities moved to nearby villages for six months. Thus, pilgrims travel to Char Dhams during the Do Dham Yatra or Ek Dham Yatra — one dham at a time.

Itinerary

Day 1 Haridwar → Guptkashi (180 km)

Pickup from Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport. Drive to Guptkashi via Rishikesh, Devprayag, and Rudraprayag. En route view the beautiful Mandakini River at Tilwara. Check into hotel. Evening visit to Ardh Narishwar Temple. Overnight: Guptkashi

Day 2 Guptkashi → Kedarnath Trek (19 km)

After medical examination, travel to Sonprayag. Trek from Sonprayag to Kedarnath (3584m) — pony or Doli available. Carry personal medications, heavy woolens, toiletries. Visit Kedarnath Temple. Evening aarti. Overnight: Kedarnath

Day 3 Kedarnath Darshan → Badrinath (160 km)

Early morning abhishek & darshan at Kedarnath. Trek down. Drive to Badrinath via Rudraprayag. Overnight: Badrinath

Day 4 Badrinath Darshan · Mana Village

Morning bathing in Taptkund. Visit Badrivishal for Darshan. Brahamakapal for ancestral Pinddan Shraddh. Sightseeing: Mana village, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and Saraswati River mouth (~3 km from Badrinath). Overnight: Badrinath

Day 5–6 Badrinath → Haridwar (Return)

Drive to Rishikesh — visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram. Transfer to Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport. Tour concludes.
