Chardham Yatra is typically a 10- to 14-day tour, making it difficult to obtain leaves for such a long period of time. Thus, pilgrims travel to Char Dhams during the Do Dham Yatra or Ek Dham Yatra (one dham at a time). Popular Do Dham Yatras include the Yamunotri-Gangotri Yatra and the Badrinath-Kedarnath Yatra, which last only 5 to 7 days.

Do Dham Weather

Due to their high altitude location, all four Dhams are covered in thick layers of snow during the winter season. The temples close during this time of year. The deities are moved to nearby villages, where prayers will continue for the next six months. You can find Chardham's opening and closing dates here, as well as detailed information about the Char Dham weather report.
