Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar

📅 Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar 2026 bookings are now open. We also accept advance bookings for Chardham Yatra 2027.

Chardham Yatra is one of India's most sacred pilgrimages. The auspicious Char Dham Yatra concludes with visits to the Char Dham Temples of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri, which are all in Uttarakhand, India.

The Chardham yatra is considered very important in Hinduism and attracts a large number of devotees from all over India and beyond. The best Chardham tour packages allow pilgrims to visit all four shrines independently and on a set schedule.

Char Dham Yatra packages typically include transportation, lodging, meals, and sightseeing. The package price may differ depending on the length of the tour, the type of lodging, and the mode of transportation.

Because of their high elevation, all four Dhams are covered in thick layers of snow during the winter. The temples are closed during this time of year. The deities are relocated to neighbouring villages, where prayers will continue for the next six months.

Day 2 Barkot → Yamunotri Darshan → Barkot
Early morning drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti and start the 6 km trek to Yamunotri — on foot, by horseback, or by Doli (at your own cost). Rice can be cooked by wrapping it in cloth and immersing it in hot water from the kund. Pilgrims take cooked rice home as "Prasad". Offer "Pooja" to Divya Shila near the temple after bathing in the clean water of Jamunabai Kund and having Darshan of the pious Yamunaji. Return to Barkot. Overnight: Barkot

Drive to Uttarkashi. Visit the Vishwanath Temple and others. Check into a hotel. Rest day at leisure. Overnight: Uttarkashi
Day 4 Uttarkashi → Gangotri → Uttarkashi (100 km each side)
Early morning drive to Gangotri, stopping at Gangnani to take a holy dip in Garam Kund, then through the beautiful Harsil Valley — known for its natural beauty, Deodar trees and mountain views. At Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges (Bhagirathi) at the source. Perform Pooja and Darshan. Return to Uttarkashi. Overnight: Uttarkashi
Day 5 Uttarkashi → Guptkashi (220 km / 8–9 hrs)
Drive directly to Guptkashi through Moolgarh and Lambgoan. En route, see the beautiful Mandakini River at Tilwara. Drive alongside the Mandakini River which flows from Kedarnath. On arrival, check into your hotel and spend the evening at the Ardh Narishwar Temple. Overnight: Guptkashi

After medical examination, travel to Sonprayag. The trek from Sonprayag to Kedarnath (3584m) begins — pony or Doli ride also available. Carry personal medications, heavy woolens, toiletries, and clothing for overnight stay. Visit Kedarnath Temple and evening aarti. Overnight: Kedarnath

Overnight: Enroute
Day 10 Return → Rishikesh → Haridwar
Drive to Rishikesh — the 'place of sages', a celebrated spiritual town on the Ganga River surrounded by the Shivalik Himalayan range on three sides.
